Fred Melkey has over 16 years of experience related to Affirmative Action compliance. In his current role as the Corporate Director of EEO and Affirmative Action for Emerson Electric Co., he has responsibility for over 100 AAPs. Fred began his career as an Engineer. For his “mid-life crisis” he attended law school in the evenings. He has held EEO/AA related roles in a wide variety of industries including working for Intel, The Hartford Insurance, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Emerson. Fred earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from the University of New Mexico, and a JD with Honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
