Mark Toal is the Director, Office of Strategic Outreach (OSO) at DOL VETS. Mark is a retired Marine Corps infantry officer who served 28 years of active duty from 1984-2012. From 2011-2012, Mark served as the Director of the Marine Corps’ Transition Assistance Program (TAP) and the Marine Corps’ senior representative on the Presidential Veterans’ Employment Initiative Task Force. From 2012-2014, he was a project manager (contractor) in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ TAP benefits briefings at military installations worldwide. Mark joined DOL VETS in December 2014. He served as the National Veterans’ Employment Manager until 2019 when he assumed the duties of Director, OSO.
