Vicki Pearson has over 25 years of human resources experience in progressively responsible roles focused on equal opportunity, affirmative action, diversity, and HR/Employment compliance. In her current role as Director Affirmative Action for Tyson Foods, Vicki provides long-term planning, strategic direction, and guidance to ensure companywide compliance with Tyson’s Affirmative Action Plans. She is responsible for managing employment compliance programs including remediation in procedural gaps and training. Vicki also ensures companywide compliance with government regulations and handles government regulatory reporting.
Prior to Tyson, Vicki was a Human Resources Consultant where she helped employers develop policies and procedures aimed at preventing workplace problems including discrimination and harassment. Her efforts included conducting comprehensive employment audits, provided management training, and developed or reviewed policy and procedure manuals aimed at ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
Vicki was also Director Compliance & Corporate Human Resources at Dean Foods Company. She was responsible for developing, implementing, and leading a centralized HR employment compliance program. She also developed and implemented HR strategies and initiatives with emphasis on diversity and inclusion, on-boarding, and employment compliance training. Vicki advised management on employee relations, employment law, succession planning and organizational productivity issues. Before joining Dean Foods, Vicki served as Sr. Manager Human Resources & Public Responsibility at Sara Lee Corporation. In that role she helped to shape and steer company-wide diversity and inclusion strategy and guiding the organization’s philanthropic and community outreach strategy and initiatives. She has also held corporate leadership positions with Allstate and Citibank.
Vicki is a graduate of Chicago State University, majoring in Business Education and she received her MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. Vicki serves on the Board of the National Industry Liaison Group representing the SWARM region. She is also a member of the National Association of Manufacturer’s OFCCP taskforce.
